And while the average sales price was up in January 2018 YOY, units sold was down significantly.

There were 40 sales in January 2018 (down 33%) at an average price of $2,213,663 (up 4%).

Further good news can be found in the fact that the quantity of luxury homes, i.e. those that sell at $5M+, more than doubled YOY.
